Can you even get a GT4 for sub 110K if so that car + Stelvio Pass =
There are no new M6's for under $110K that is for sure
Back on track - I would take the Cayman GT4 for the road trip!
Great car for the roads over there.
Skip Stelvio, many other great roads with lots of variation and not plugged solid with bicycles.
Sustenpass, Furkapass, Val gardena, then to the Col d Turini through Grasse and then head for Spain - tons of fabulous roads in Catalunya.
Regarding all of the information here - to clarify.
-We are not marking up GT4's over MSRP.
-Euro delivery does NOT include a couple of days of instruction in Leipzig.
-Waiting is NOT going to get you a car - get a deposit in place.
-Production will end in June-July 2016
-Most of them are going out the door at less than 110K
Come and see me if you want the true stories, I'm happy to give you the information correctly and accurately. I'm at the dealership most days.
Cheers!

^ I think you are disagreeing with the couple of days part but doing a ED in Leipzig does include a lapping session with an instructor no?
The Porsche online configurator calls it "Factory collection Leizig incl. dynamic driving instruction - $0
Right from the website.Come and collect your Porsche in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen or Leipzig and be the one to take it to its rightful place: on the road. Before this, we invite you behind the scenes of the Porsche production process. As part of a guided factory tour, you will see how much passion and precision goes into everything we do. You can then take time to reflect on your experience over a leisurely lunch and look forward to the high point of the day: taking delivery of your Porsche. Our specialists will take their time to explain everything about your new car in as much detail as you wish. Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen is steeped in tradition and history. Here, you can visit the Porsche Museum to experience and learn about every aspect of the Porsche brand, with legendary models from a sports car history spanning over 60 years.Or, if you would prefer your factory collection to be rather more intensive, visit our production location in Leipzig.Your first driving experience will be a test drive in a Porsche model identical to the one you purchased and under the expert supervision of one of our instructors. Hone your skills on-road on the FIA-certified test circuit or on our very own off-road track in a Porsche off-road vehicle.
Just curious.
Can you confirm that if you are just making this decision now that you are pretty much NOT getting a GT4?
I don't think most of the stuff posted here was untrue other than the likelihood of getting a car and the 2 days of instruction?

FYI you might want to confirm you can drive the Nurburgring with your vehicle.
I was under the impression you have temp, special insurance which doesn't translate to driving the Nurburgring. I guess you could take the plates off and drive it but if you crash, no coverage.
From what i have read if you insist on racing around the 'ring its better to park your ED car and rent a prep'd 'ring rental which has all the proper insurance and less performance than most German ED sports cars. Yes less performance, because Green Hell is nothing to joke around with. And you will likely have more fun that way.

In a GT4? I'd go from GER to the French Riviera via the Swiss Alps route, I'm sure in Monaco a GT4 would fit right in
The highways through Holland/Belgium/France to basically Paris I found quite uneventful when I drove on them (people in Holland drove quite fast though iirc). Southern France and European mountain roads sound way more interesting imo.
I edited my post to say clarification, rather than misinformation - wrong word. I was mainly reacting to the comment about dealers marking up over MSRP.
Leipzig delivery gives you a 20 minute on-track session where you follow and instructor and one hot lap with an instructor - getting a delivery slot for Leipzig is incredibly difficult as there are only a few spots available for English-speaking and the facility can not accommodate many more. I believe Canada has ~12 spots for May and ~12 for June. Pickup in Stuttgart is much easier to accommodate.
I have done both and can give you a much more detailed idea in conversation.
You can certainly add other school days and I do this for several customers at various tracks in Europe both in factory cars and in your own.
Getting a GT4 will be very hard at this time - the point I was trying to make is get a deposit in now, you may still stand a chance.
Hopefully that clears the air a bit.
Cool I appreciate the clarification. There is definitely misinformation floating around the internet so a credible source is always appreciated. I'll have to give you a call if I ever get more serious about a Macan, aka if I am still employed in 2 months haha

No vehicle you own is covered if you crash it on a race track whether you have insurance or not.
