    Grace and Marco?

Just looked and I can't easily move you over. Software does not allow that from the waitlist. It is faster/easier for you to ... my apologies.

You will just have to go and register for the Feb. 7 class and cancel the other one (waitlist).

Let me know if that goes smoothly for you.

    Ok. Will do.
Also, I am sure I read it somewhere in the FAQ about meeting time in the morning but I can't find it anymore. We meet at a hotel conference room at __:__am and we wrap up the session on the lake at around 4pm?

I imagine you get an email. I have no idea when/where we are going in 2 weeks.

The classroom session at the Day's Inn in Cochrane starts at 8 am, however it is best to be there maybe 15-20 minutes early to sign the registration/waiver etc. We have coffee/tea and donuts there too.

We end about 9 am....bathroom break etc. and drive directly out to the lake and we go until approximately 4 pm when we have a short wrap-up meeting, hand out certificates goodies etc. finished by 4:30 pm or slightly before (think we finished 4:20 last Sunday).

Then afterwards we sometimes do an optional lapping session ... your chance to ride along with instructors in their cars for instance at speed or do a few more laps.

Most people leave after the meeting I find.

You will also receive reading and confirmation material prior to the Sunday .... a few days before or so. All times, places, schedule etc. will be in there.

Less than a week out for the 10th

Anyone bringing a GoPro along to shoot some video? Never used mine for the car before and am debating if i should get an external suction ( which i seem to hear basically 50/50 reports of they fall off if you look at them wrong or they never come off even if you want them to ) or just mount it inside and call it a day.

I'll be out helping Jan 10th and I'll have my GoPro mounted in my car on the dash!!! I don't have a suction one...yet.
I've gotten some decent video going around the track.

Maybe I'll bring my camera and take some photos of you guys next week. Yesterday was pretty nice weather but lots of snow drifts.

How were the drifts yesterday? Last week they were crunchy and I broke a piece off my car and so did a few others.
I hope the snow softens up a bit.

Pretty crunchy. My car already got damaged by a friend borrowing it and hitting a ice fishing hole last week which was great. But not problems once we packed it all down yesterday.

    Reijo,

What's the policy on having a spectator ride along in the back seat? As long as the waiver is signed we are golden?

    Thanks

Is this something people should be concerned about? I realize that there is risk associated with any event but if there is a high likelihood of a 4 figure repair bill for a winter driving course I am not sure i want to bring my relatively low car...

Is the location we are doing the course relatively cleared or is it a free for all?

Don't be that guy driving off in the distance drifting through untracked snow and drifts near shore for no reason. He hit something hidden in a drift nowhere near where anyone else was driving, so anyone in the course will be fine. We drive around first and create paths and tracks to make sure it's fine.

I figured so much, i just wanted to make sure dodging holes wasnt going to be a normal course of event. I would feel stupid if i didnt at least ask

If i am going to be ripping parts of the car off, it'll be the toyota. Or find some bargain basement winters for the mustang

We spend time working down the snow with the larger vehicles so the drifts are knocked down on the courses you will be driving.
The piece I broke off when a few of us where doing laps after the course was over at sunset.
You will be fine as long as you stay on the course and like already mentioned don't go off on your own in the drifts.

Yes,waiver would have to be signed. But it may be a bit boring after a while I would suspect since we are dealing with the driver and their driving more than anything ... kind of the odd person out kind of thing?

So if they have their own vehicle that might be a good thing so they can come and go as they please.

The morning lecture is open only to the participants.....since they have paid for it.

I ran a GoPro last year. Best footage for an edit is:

    - Inside pointing out dash, with wheel/dash visible
    - Off hood or bumper facing forward
    - off roof facing backwards if your doing laps with others
