I am looking to close a house sale that was sold privately. Can anyone recommend a real estate lawyer?

Do a search, there was a recent thread about a few months ago.
I used Mckenzie law in forest lawn. They were the cheapest I could find when I shopped around in April this year
I did search the forum and couldn't find anything recent.
sabad66, what was your experience with McKenzie Law? Did you at least get to talk/meet the lawyer?
I used McKenzie when I switched my mortgage provider earlier this year. Will echo the comment about being the cheapest... Was great for something so straightforward. Not sure I'd use them again for a purchase or sale.

Richard Cragg. Located in the strip mall by the golds gym in the NE. right across from Marlborough mall.
One of the best lawyers I've ever dealt with and the best price I found in the city.

Yep, i sat down with him and his legal assistant to sign the big stack of papers. Nice enough guy... no complaints. But mine was a simple first time home buy so nothing too complicated. They did explain everything and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.Originally posted by pga

I can't comment on how well they might handle something more complex but if you're after the cheapest cost then i'd go with them.
Btw the other thread is here (you have to search more than 3 months old):

Weapon_R from here I believe does Real Estate Law. Contact a fellow Beyonder!
Thanks for the feedback. My sale would be a bit more complicated than yours. The buyer is from oversea and since the sale is a private deal, I want to make sure I am well informed every step of the way.

Agreed that if you want basic simple and cheap go to Mackenzie Law.
If you want a shiny office, hot paralegals etc. then you gotta pay more.
Beyonders have recommended Kahane Law. http://kahanelaw.com/home-3/areas-of...-fees-calgary/

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
I have used both Richard Cragg and Khane Law. Richard Cragg is the cheapest I've found and pretty much has a good manufacturing approach to get things processed. Used Kahane as a friend worked there and got a good deal.
Both were good experiences.
I've also used khlaw - Khalil has a good background in Realestate and can provide "Advisory" support as well.
