    Default El Chapo VS ISIS?

    http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/new...rists-destroy/

"It would be ironic that the group who ends up taking out ISIS is El Chapo's drug cartel!" Guzmán reportedly wrote. "They seem up to the task and it could be worth giving immunity to this guy in exchange for him and his boys taking out ISIS once and for all!"

    Islamic extremists in trouble now.

Arguably, I think the Yukuza would have a better chance of taking down ISIS than the combined force of Britain, France and the US militaries.

It would be hilarious to watch a bunch of drug enforcer thugs dropped into the middle of an active international militarized war zone. Who needs F-16s and anti-tank missles when a group of outlaw Mexicans can end the war with their machetes and shiny 6 shooters.

You have a very silly perception of what organized crime is like Mexico.

It's not like it's the 1930's/40's Mafia where they're greased up slick hair with baseball bats saying "We're going to rough him up, real nice" ...

    They have military grade firearms

But sure, keep thinking what you think

Ground troops (cartel) vs the might of modern military?!

Uhh. You can be as ruthless as you want, but logistically how are 15K+ Mexicans going to vacation in Syria, exactly?

You think the US military would actually sanction Mexican Cartel members to fight along side their highly trained and (pseudo) valuable assets in what could be the most tactical/highly sensitive wars they (westerners) have experienced in modern history?

I am no history buff. I dont really pay attention to politics. With that said, the results of all this unrest have not been calmed in any measurable way since it exploded.

I mean as a movie I would watch Danny Trejo rally a misfit crew of cartel personnel come to blows against a troop headed up by Omar Sharif.

    This is pretty outlandish.

On the plus side, the Cartel has no oversight and no accountability if shit goes off the rails. Casualties aren't really a big deal to them.

On the down side, the Cartel has no oversight and no accountability.

    Awww, hoax.

The cartel already has boots on the ground there (the drug traffickers) very well armed, very well trained.

Arguably better paid (they should be, they have to protect tonnage of drugs) and equipped than a modern disposable cannon fodder from Europe or the US. Sort of like WWII, where if you got a couple ranks above private, they would give you an extra grenade to "protect" yourself with.
