    Default What generation are you?

    What generation are you?

I'm not going to include anything before the baby boomers because that is probably not a generation which is very active on beyond. I did include Generation Z although I suspect not many of them are on beyond either.

To start I'm a baby boomer, the latter part of that generation but still one of them.

I always thought I was borderline gen y, but your poll puts me square in gen x. Damn, I'm older than I think(tm)!

Well, that's part of the problem in defining generations - the baby boomer classification is pretty much agreed upon for timelines but anything after that is still pretty much up in the air.

Thus, I kind of loosely followed what Wikipedia says which is not definitive by any means either but a generation to me is about 20 years which fits fairly closely to Wikipedia's explanation as well.

Is it worth debating, I really don't think so because there just isn't any one right answer and thus my poll, which is just for fun anyways, could provide an interesting perspective if people answer truthfully.

i almost feel like if we got into a generation talk the latest generation would be any kids that have only existed with internet. ie maybe 97+

I am sad to be grouped with some other gen y'ers, just as there are some early gen x sad to be grouped with later ones. 20 years can always provide a significant gap. so no one will be happy with the definitions.

mostly just wanted to post his picture. generation z will have little knowledge of these guys.
