They definitely do seem like a fad but they also look to be fun.
It sucks about the fire risk, and not being able to transport on planes.
Are these "legal" to ride on a sidewalk? I don't know if there's any Calgary bylaw against them or anything.
I probably wouldn't ride them in the mall but maybe in the park on concrete.

Oh it's definitely a fad. I doubt you'll even hear about it by next summer, you hardly even hear about it now as it is compared to when they came out. But it's still pretty fun, and if your house has some room, it's pretty cool being lazy and roaming around the house on it once in a while haha.
You can also be that uncle that buys fun-stupid shit that ends up hurting their kids.
