Default Christmas Light Fuse (Assistance Req'd)

Noticed last night that 1/2 my outdoor lights weren't working. Upon inspection today it appears that only one of my strings happens to have a fuse on it. The fuse type is 10mm 125V 5A. I spent all afternoon running around at CT, HD and Lowes trying to find this fuse with no luck.

Got home, decided I'd have to try Amazon and wait a few days and when confirming my cart it gives me a message that I'm not allowed to ship these fuses (then theres a little box with an explanation that some electronics aren't available for import to Canada) - oh good, my Christmas Lights are going to end me up on some No-Fly list.

Anyways, anyone know where can get these fuses?

I tried Google and there's a bunch smaller American shippers, might get the same response as Amazon so looking to Beyond to see if there's any other local solutions.

    Any help appreciated.

Any of the electrical wholesalers should be able to get you that(if not have it in stock) I'd call eecol, westburne, b.a. Robinson or guililevin intl.

Are you sure the fuse blew? These new led lights are junk. I tested 2 strands and by the time I had them hung they no longer worked. I noticed the wires that go into the rear of the lights are actually very poorly constructed and if you wiggle them they start working again.

Anyways I have some extra fuses (they came with the Noma lights from CT) so if you need a couple and are willing to pick them up let me know.

If you still havent found any yet, try Home Hardware OR.....The Source. You would find all sorts of shit in there when it was RadioShack/Circuit City.

Just to clairify, these are not LED xmas lights but rather the large "show-home" style.

I've tried contacting those already mentioned with no luck, however am hoping B&E gets back to me today. Any other recommendations would be appreciated

No luck from Active Electonics, they put me in touch with MRO who can special order.

Any other ideas? Can't believe it's a this difficult, but appreciate all suggestions.

Also, if anyone's wondering, "just replace the problem section" it's on the 2nd story of a 2 story home. I can access the problem fuse easily, but can't get up there to replace the entire strand of lights

Did you hear back from B&E?, they stock a lot of NTE components.
The NTE part number should be 74-3FG5A

Anyways after getting hooked up by a beyonder, thanks theken, it seems like the entire strand is toast and I'll be looking to replace it once the snow melts off my roof. Thanks to everyone who responded, quite amused to see how many old school beyonders replied in this thread.

    Cheers,

    P.
