I use a product from Mothers. Can't remember what its called but its in a small cylindrical container. Looks like a white cream out of the container. You apply it with a rag, rub until you see black and then buff it off. Works great but you gotta use some elbow grease.

You know it sean, my women gots to pull they own weight.

Well, the exhaust had some tar spots on it, and some rock marks, so I wet sanded with 800, then 1000, then 1500, then 2000, and then buffed it with some mothers and it looks nearly new. thanks for all the help guys, if anyone ever tries this method, you could probly do without the 800. it did help alot, the texture is smooth as glass now, and the discoloring on the tip is gone.

I just use windex when it looks like shit and I'm in a hurry.

Scratch Remover works extremely well, and there are no side effects from it

Found the name: Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish. You can pick it up at Canadian Tire or at Part Source I think. Meguiar's probably makes something similar.

stainless steel doesnt rust... however you will generally lose the nice finish if you use an abrasive and its polished
