Luckily got some seasonal work with the city in the meantime - maybe that could turn into something, I have heard the city is good to work for.
Kiss some serious ass and get into a full time position. Then enjoy earning 2x more than anyone else is a private company at the same job.

Good career plan with the economy likely going to be in the crapper for years.
I can eat more hot wings than you.

Same here, I could see myself at this company long term of they had stuff for me to do. And there's about 30 guys in the same situation as me. I was never laid off though, just got home from a job last month and never heard anything again. Whenever I called asking what's going on they say stuff should be starting 'soon'.

Asked them today for an ROE stating work shortage so we'll see what happens.

I think SP meant to imply something...

I wonder if thieves are getting more ballsy because i have heard this happen a couple of times. One two houses down from me infact.

They are making their way into the house, walking past sleeping occupants, opening garage doors, and driving away with cars all without making a peep.

Stealing your own car and leaving it burnt out on the side of some dirt road is a good way to break a lease you can't afford...

Not when you are underwater on your Lifted 2500 with truck nuts.

Not really mission impossible, but I had a guy put a 32ft ladder up to my second story balcony to try and break into my Condo. He must of gotten spooked because when I got home the ladder was still there and my bike was stolen off the balcony. Think the fucking ladder was worth more than the bike .

what a steal. buying a ladder then taking it home without a truck is such a hassle.

Why do you say "apparently", when we all know you are getting your information from your wife who works there.

    Oh should of used approximately.

She and a whole bunch of other people were locked out from work this morning so now she thinks its a sign she will be let go. The company are saying it was a security upgrade that went wrong.

Someone in HR fucked up. The same thing occured when either Encana or Cenovus did their slice and dice last year.
