Sounds like the guy was just shooting everything - including at a bus and cops
Hopefully not the PTSD ex-army co-worker I have that lives right there.
Shot and killed by police

CPS say the threat of gunfire in Huntington Hills is now over and residents no longer need to take shelter in their basements.
Police were called to the northeast community around 4:40pm for reports of an active shooter.
They arrived at the 1000 block of 78 Ave. N.W. and observed that numerous shots were fired.
The area was contained and residents were asked to stay inside.
A statement said the situation continued to escalate resulting in the discharge of a Service firearm killing the suspect.
No officers were injured during the incident.

Sounds like suicide by cop.

PSTD ex-army actually fit that description quite well.
My co-worker is 30ish and not physically handicapped, luckily enough after meeting a roadside bomb.Originally posted by Xtrema

I say stupid shit all the time.
Will be interesting to read the final report because it does seem odd how this ended up, it is apparent that there is a lot that we do not know yet which would have made the CPS react in the manner that they did.

TLDR, Dude dived into Sikome and broke his neck. Crippled, tried to sue government for $4M. Failed and gone on paranoid streak ever since. Service dog died a few weeks back and unhinged.

FYI - Mr. McQueen was drunk when he dove into Sikome Lake (with "no diving" signs all over the place).
Sad, but you make your own choices in life.

Yes, but a man dead and police smashing one of their vehicles through a fence isn't normal - those details that led to such actions would be the ones I speak of. The information in the Herald and Sun is pretty much nothing more than we knew already with the exception of who the man was and his history, it does not explain what happened that night.Originally posted by Xtrema

Its pretty self-explanatory. I'm sure a situation involving a mentally ill person someone shooting a firearm out of his house at buses and cops needs to be treated quickly and effectively. The police have a duty to protect life, and every bullet out of that gun is possibly a life on the other end of the trajectory.Originally posted by speedog

This is like any other incident - patience is the key. The police cant really comment due to the ongoing investigation, and the independent ASIRT investigation into the incident is ongoing as they always do. We will hear about details once that is complete. Any further information is just pure speculation, and if anything the news outlets are being careful with the information they are releasing.
