Wondering if anyone knows any areas that have decent hiking paths near Calgary / Banff / etc that are accessible in the spring. Lots of the mountain trails are still quite snowed in around that time so wondering if there is other areas that melt/dry up faster. Not too concerned if it's still a bit snowy or wet but mostly concerned about being able to stay on the trails. We usually go on a few backpacking trips a year but its always later (July-Sept) when its dryer.
Looking for ~10-20km day hike kinds of things.
