i used envisalink in the past, it worked great, but only supports dsc and honeywell panels i think.

I use konnected, and tie it into home assistant. It's cheap, but very DIY/tech heavy.

I'm sure you can. I've setup automation to use the motion sensors to turn on certain lights after sunset, so if I run downstairs, a light automatically comes on and then shuts off after x amount of time. But it's all basically community support. I _like it_ because I like to tinker, but if you don't have the patience for it, I would 100% aim for something more off the shelf.
