YYC Airport Eliminates Free Short Term Parking

Effective February 9, 2016, the rate for the first 30 minutes of parking in the short-term parking lots at YYC will be $3.00

The cell phone lot is an overfilled gong show as it is. Why would they do this before they expanded the cell lot if that's what they expect people to use instead?

Im surprised the mayor hasn't declared dropping someone off at the airport ride sharing and has it banned completely, only way in and out of the airport should be bikes or taxi's

Actually, there's quite good bicycle access to the airport already - gets a bit sketchy right at the terminal though.

Lame. I used to park there all the time waiting for parents or whatever to arrive. Oh well, cell lot it is from here on, except my parents don't bring their phones when they go to vacation, so that makes it a bit more complicated. Oh well, good to know at least.
