Telus gives you the option to buy it outright on their website.
Also looks like you can't pre-order the Edge in any color but black?

It almost looks like bell gives you option to buy outright, but when you go through the process, bell just wants you to sign up for a contract.... fckers!
As I go through the pre-order steps, all I see is a 2-yr term price. Where do you see this outright price in the pre-order steps?Originally posted by georgemagana

Anyone here upgrading from the S6 to S7?
I am. Mainly because of the water resistance and battery life. Although I have to compromise on the size because I prefer the smaller size of the s6 edgeOriginally posted by nagooro

I will be as well, battery life + memcard/dual sim was my deciding factor.
Sucks that I can't upgrade through Telus since I have the SK/MB 65 plan. They want me to choose a local AB plan...guess I'm stuck month to month and will have to buy the phone outright.
Let me know if your able to renew it !Originally posted by slick2404

Im in a similar situation and they won't let me keep my current plant if I decide to get a new phone unless I buy it outright.
Have you tried calling costumer service? I might try that and see if it works.
I am too.Originally posted by nagooro

I think the LG G5 will be my next phone.
Are the carriers not allowing people to buy phones outright and remain on month to month? I can't seem to see any off contract price when I'm browsing Rogers.com
You can get them "factory unlocked" from Amazon or ebay usually, but why don't the manufacturers just sell them directly from their website like Apple, Google Nexus, Microsoft?
Did any of you pre-order and receive the phone already?
I preordered mine from costco and the jackasses have it already, but won't give it to me. They say they can't until launch....
Anyone know why we can't seem to pre-order any other color than black for the Edge?
I think it might be region-specific? The US gets all the colors but we're limited. I wanted Silver Titanium but settled for Black Edge.Originally posted by georgemagana

The other colors will be released later this month. I wouldn't buy from the states considering where our dollar is at. Plus they have a different processor in the American models.
I reserved the LG G5 with Fido. Does anyone know the pricing on release and when is it even supposed to come out?
Oh sweet ! Ill pre-order the silver oneOriginally posted by MR2-3SGTE

Samsung is the one that's not allowing it to be sold before launch. There's no way anyone can get it earlier (in Canada), even if the stores have received it. They are told to hold them. T-Mobile in the US is the only one who shipped out some early. I guess they had made some special agreement with SamsungOriginally posted by Hero_X

I'm pretty sure the US version gets the SD820, which has vastly superior graphics performance to the Exynos 8890. CPU performance is more similar. Most people probably won't notice at all since both are so fast but depending on what you're doing it might be worth looking at a US model. The crappy dollar might make it an easy decision though haha.Originally posted by MR2-3SGTE

From what I read, the only reason Samsung put the 820 in the US models because it supports the CDMA bands of verizon and Sprint, whereas all other carriers have switched to GSM.
Surprising that Samsung would put an inferior processor when a better one is readily available. They must have another reason. Not sure if the cost difference would be huge
