NewLextasy, thank you for pointing out you are not poor. I'll be sure to direct the NDP in your generation direction for wealth appropriation to the rest of us!

Too lazy to call the insurance company to put driving insurance back on.... Otherwise I'd drive the M5 and save the winters on the GS...

I thought about this and decided it was not worth to leave the studded tires on with the warm temps forecasted.... 14C this Friday.Originally posted by drtoohotty1
sort of on topic anyone take off their winters yet? I have 2 cars both winters 1 studded and I haven't drove it for the last month and a bit should I just say fuck it and throw the all seasons back on?
Even if it snows in March / April, the all-seasons should be fine unless it is going to be -20 for a week straight...
I drive the Chrysler 8km to work back and forth so don't care too much about putting on all-seasons too early. I am going to leave the winters on the QX60 that the wife takes downtown daily... figured thats a good compromise.
I"m putting on my all-seasons tomorrow - will see if it snows Friday instead of 14C!!Originally posted by Mibz
The only reason I haven't put my summers back on is because I know it'll snow 48 hours later.
We still have March and April which bring massive storms.
Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders

I'm moving in 2 weeks, to a place where I can transit all the way to work. I might swap them then.

I took my winter tires off last year first week of March because the weather was so good and it turned out to be a good decision. If the weather continues to be like this (it's been even better this year), I'll be swapping them around the same time again.
Since this thread has morphed into two separate discussions, I've updated the title.
As for the winter tires on the winter car, I'll keep those on just in case we get one of these random spring dumps!
Bring back the snow
Z32 TT
1996 Integra - winter beater with studs - RIP (deer)
2002 WRX - to be sold
2010 sti - winter
As always in this annual topic, to me it doesn't matter if it's been a particularly mild snowfall type winter, after the street cleaners do deerfoot then I think it's time to get the summer car up and going.
As for DD, always coincides when I have to re-register/insure, so end of March the summer tires go on for me.
After the last SASC event I'll throw the Duratracs on the 4Runner to save the Hakkas.
No way in hell is the corolla coming out until the snow is completely gone and the roads are pretty close to being swept.
There aren't any left and this one is completely rust free. It's going to stay that way!
Keep in mind a recession in Alberta is going from 4.5% unemployment to 7% unemployment, which is more like "typical" employment levels in most of the 1st world as of late. Ballers gonna ball in their Lambo's. Still waiting for all the screaming car deals to materialize on kijiji, but I've seen shit so far.
Just got off the phone with Bob- Winter tires are coming off next tuesday.
Dont want to ruin my winters
Winters are coming off the daily as we speak....

Getting winters taken off at SpecR on Saturday...
