Do you publish the SSIDs of the IoT and Camera networks? How does accessing your IoT devices work or if you want to check the camera's? Are only certain devices on Normal allowed to hit the other VLANs?
    Published to add everything.
Hidden once it was all connected.
I have the mdns mirroring service enabled, and also enabled the settings json for the mdns reflector as well.

I haven't gotten around to closing firewall ports between the vlans yet.

The idea (eventually) would be to let normal vlan access the other vlans, but the other vlans can't establish connections to my network, only use existing connections. So I can check the cameras, and cast to chromecast, but they can't access anything on my network.

Importantly I don’t think MemEx has ever been the best price for me on Unifi stuff.
My 2 Nanos at $179 each at Memex was a pretty good deal.

Picked up a Flex-HD for the main floor, and an AC-LITE for the basement. Pretty easy setup (using an old PC as the Controller) and quick adjustment of the radio power, and devices seem to transition smoothly in-between. It looks like my Windows 10 laptop like's to stay stuck to the main floor AP, even in the basement, whereas my Macbook Pro and iPhone roam between nicely.

Router and switch are still Meraki units, but that'll change in December when the licensing runs outs. Probably look at the DreamMachine when the time comes.

I have a Unifi network and I am not getting the proper Upload or download speed.
I am on Telus Gigabit plan and when I connect to the Telus router via WiFi I am getting 740 Download and 600 Upload speed.
When I connect to the Unifi WiFi I am getting 108 Download and 106 Upload.
I have done the RF scans and set the channels and everything without any interference and Device experience is at 92% and WiFi experience from the AP's and the Beacon are over 90%.

What am I doing wrong? Any insight or help will be much appreciated.

Three things: 1) what do you get with a wired connection? And 2) what device are you using for the wifi testing and 3) where are you when you test wifi speed?

One thing I will note is anything less than 99-100% on experience for unifi isn’t actually that great. At least in a home environment, it means you have not insignificant interference and devices are needing to retransmit often.

Realizing much above 3-400mbps over wifi is actually pretty difficult and requires A near perfect environment.

Good questions are what kind of radio does your device have? You won’t see anything that high (like the seeds they quote) without a 3x3 antenna and running on a wave 2 network and on 5GHz.

Honestly it sounds to me like you probably have a ton of interference and probably too many devices on the network to realize idealized speeds. You will need to probably densify your network and do some playing with power settings to do better.

FWIW on my IW-HD’s with wave2 I never got a ton higher than 3-400, maybe 550 one time using unifis throughput tool on my iPhone X (2x2 antenna).

Above is a run I just did with line of sight to my AC Pro in my iPhone.
Gigabit internet is wasted on wifi at least for a single device.

What is your Unifi AP connected to? Are you using a USG or another router?

Orbi mesh wireless - I think im done with you - I picked up an Arlo Pro 2 kit from costco this morning and I plugged it into the orbi router while my wife was working, press apply (I dont know why but everytime I save any minor config on orbi the entire thing reboots), anyway that started 30 mins of random reboots / connectivity loss and no stability. I rolled back the change 30 mins later since it didnt work anyway and the reboots continue. Unplugged the orbi mesh and put the old netgear nighthawk r7000 online again - up in 5 mins and stable. I really wanted mesh to work - unsure if i can bring this back to costco - its probably been over 3 months since I bought it.

Does anyone know if costcos return policy on electronics also applies to wifi routers, it doesnt explicitly say:

Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days from the date of purchase for televisions, major appliances*, projectors, computers, cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), camcorders, digital music players, tablets, smart watches, Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract) and other electronic products identified by Costco from time to time.

Nope. ONT -> Telus Router -> USG -> Switch -> AP.
I have 3 AP's and one Beacon HD.
One of the AP is AC Pro and the other two are AC in Wall Pro

Have you tried connecting directly to the ONT? I would start there.

I will give this a try after I finished my work today.
During my lunch break I hardwired the laptop to UniFi switch and Telus router and I got 85/137 and 467/942 respectively.
based on the above I think USG is the bottleneck. Will confirm.

One thing I noticed with my AC-Lite is that on initial connection it doesn't connect at the highest rates. Have to wait a minute or 2 before it negotiates up to get 300mbps+. The client screen shows on the server shows the current Rx and Tx rates under Statistics.

Hopefully that's not the case when roaming. Not that I need 300mbps on a roaming video call or anything haha.

I would be surprised if it is your USG.

My USG is connected directly to the ONT. Hard wired, here is my speedtest:

I had the same problem when I used an Asus router instead of the USG.

I am wondering if your hop through the TELUS router is causing the issue.

Did you enable DPI? If so, the USG can't handle high speeds with that enabled.

Even the baby USG should have no problem negotiating over a gigabit of traffic.

You don’t have their intrusion prevention system enabled do you? On USG3 it doesn’t have enough horsepower to do much more than 100 mbps of traffic when IPS is enabled.

DPI isn’t nearly as big of an issue as IPS is.

I am betting this is enabled. Even on my UDM pro i see speed decreases with DPI on.
