Default Enmax - My Energy IQ - usage compared to nearby homes

Looks like Enmax has changed the usage reporting format they tuck into my monthly bill. They now have a report that compares usage with nearby homes.
It also attempts to combine electricity and natural gas on an energy equivalent basis.m

I use 3% less natural gas, 95% more electricity and 53% combined more than "similar" homes. Mostly due to the huge AC unit I run five months of the year.

What do you think? Does this help you?

Heating the garage seems to be an issue. Haha

    And the air conditioner.

Haha, so true. Wife likes to keep the house at 23 all year round. Saves on AC, but burns nat gas like a Mofo. I'm also heating an extra 900 SQFT in the winter. Got to keep the cars warm.

My graphs all look similar to Benyl's however with slightly less electricity usage. I'd be interested to see a beyonder results that doesnt have "your home" as a significant user above similar homes.

I dont know where the people using basically no energy im my neighborhood are, every house for 0.4km is practically the same up here in aspen.

You should also look into how in about an eight minute span you have used 4% of your battery....

I had to download photo bucket over LTE because imgur wasn't working.

It was also at 100% for 20 minutes before that.

Do you wash your clothes in the sink and dry them on a rack? Even when I lived in a Condo i think I used more than 100 kwh a month.

We have a communal laundry room in the basement. I also don't have enough space to have a laundry set in my condo, as I use that space for hobby storage (golf clubs, snowboard gear, hockey gear, etc.)

I worked out the math and if I do laundry twice a month based on the cost vs. buying a new set, it would take me 5.33 years to break even.

It's unfortunate that updating your house profile doesn't immediately update the cost comparison - I guess you have to wait for the next billing cycle.
