    Default Methane emissions and trudeau

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trud...gton-1.3483545

Reducing methane emissions by 45% in the next 9 years. Is that even possible. I realize this is the same thing notley said but I guess Trudeau is just making it canada wide reductions not just Alberta.

He could likely accomplish a good chunk of that just by keeping his mouth shut.

Anything is possible....just shut down all industry. Mission accomplished. Not that doing so will make a tinkers bit of difference to the planet since our worldly impact is minimal. All that makes us is poor and unemployed......but at least we can feel good.

so shut down all of oil and gas, coal mining, and whatever "others" is. That adds up to about 45%.

Industry has known about this for a long time. I don't know about 45%, but there is some low hanging fruit here.

There goes the beef industry. Steaks will cost more. Weed still won't be legal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm being dead serious about this...

But isn't the majority of methane gases in North America caused by livestock? (and I'm being serious)

How do they plan on doing this?

Only 10% according tho the graph in that link up there. But I agree with you and on cbc 2 days ago they said there were 5 million plus cows in Alberta alone.

I was thinking butt plug + drill + hoses = free range organic natural gas to sell at an obscene rate to new age enlightened people who wish to heat their home without supporting big oil.

You would think so, but the opposite is true.

The people seem to adore the slick rhetoric that this drama teacher spews.

A comment from the article was something about him being a great leader on the world stage.

Really? Now what about the pesky fucking thing called our economy?
