    Default 707 hp Trailcat?

    http://blog.caranddriver.com/jeep-tr...ler-from-hell/

Everyone, please welcome the 707-hp Jeep Wrangler you didnít know you were waiting for yet secretly hoped Chrysler would someday build. The Jeep Trailcat, created for Jeepís 50th annual Easter Safari fan fest in Moab, Utah, has between its frame rails the very same supercharged V-8 Hellcat engine that has been decimating Dodge Challenger and Charger tires since 2014. This is the best worst idea ever!

You can figure out where the Trailcat name came from, so weíll skip that explanation and get right down to the important issue here: This Wrangler has a Hellcat engine, and itís bolted to a six-speed manual transmission (!). Thatís the only data point that matters. Jeep says it lengthened the Trailcatís wheelbase by 12 inches over that of a regular Wrangler to help the engine fit, or maybe to try to imbue this monster with some dynamic civility. But really, why even try?

Colossal 39.5-inch BFGoodrich Krawler T/A tires and Fox shocks perch the Jeep even farther above the pavement, and there are precisely zero aerodynamic elements added to the body to help this misshapen Titan missile tumble through the air. Since we imagine any high-speed run in the Trailcat would feel like riding a Hellcat-powered knuckleball, itís probably a good thing Jeep sourced well-bolstered bucket seats from the Dodge Viper to hold occupants in terror-filled situ.

If they build it and make it available for sale through dealerships with warranty, then I will be impressed. As a concept car, I've seen better.

    Why not? I mean seriously.

If the means and want is there do it. If I could take a hellcat motor and put it something random why not.

I don't think that will pass our bumper height laws. Production chances = 0%.

Anything made for the Easter Safari pretty much has a 0% chance of making it to production.

More like...PavementPoundingCat. Anything more than idling it when off-road will instantly cause it to do a 180 and/or back flips.

Would it be 4x4, or full time AWD, or RWD?

Jeep has been watching too much of that LSX Willy's Jeep on 1320video/youtube me thinks.

Guess it depends on where you live - Montana has no bumper height laws, only headlight height laws and your headlights have to be less than 72 inches above the ground.

No doubt the 700 hp is required to turn the monster-truck tires and overcome aerodynamic drag
