I have 2 outdoor cams, 3 indoor, a nest hello and 2 thermostats. I had some setup issues with a previous mesh system and them getting kicked off but since I switched fully to unify I have had zero issues. The new plan is great for me i think I save $12 a month or so and get 30 days versus 5.

I tried some Waze cams previously but their person detection and night vision were not even close to the same level. I couldn't see myself making out a face or licence plate of a moving vehicle with them.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

    Ecobee >> Nest IMO. I've got 3 Ecobee 4s with 8 sensors.

I have given up on trying to stick to one brand for anything. I did switch to Nest Hello because Ring is utter crap.

For cameras I got my Wyze cams to work with BlueIris using their beta RTSP firmware. Only thing that doesn't work is PTZ controls.

Now I just go to my BlueIris site on my phone to view all my cams at once POE/Wifi/Wyze, and extra benefit of both cloud and local recording.

    How many do you want?

I have 1-2 I could let go of right away. The rest will take more time.

No idea what a fair price is for these. They are the indoor non iq
    Thanks for the cams!

I tie everything down with HomeKit. One app to control absolutely everything regardless of device brands.

Thinking about getting a Nest Hello, they’re on sale at Costco right now. Currently am not committed to one ecosystem or another around the house.

Anything I should be concerned about, or is there a better alternative out there?

Nest hello is probably their best product. Main issue is its kindof neutered without a nest aware subscription.

Nest aware gets better value with more cameras, hence the ecosystem thing.

I don’t think there is nesecarily a better product. They work great.

I agree. Nest hello is a great product. It's so good that it can differentiate between the mailman and your wife's boyfriend.

    Very accurately!

And if you live in ExtraSlow’s neighborhood you can use it to make great home videos of the swat team.

I used to live near ExtraSlow and have met the cute bomb robot on a few occasions. It seems to be a good wholesome neighborhood for the squads to practice in.

The new Nest aware sucks if you only have the Nest hello. They really want you to get multiple cameras to make 24/7 recording worth it. I'm still on the grandfathered old plan with mine, but if my current hello dies, I don't think I'm replacing it with another hello as I wouldn't be grandfathered anymore. It seems like the plan is attached to the device.

I agree with the concern around the plans. THankfully i'm grandfathered as well becuase if i had to pay the new pricing for JUST a doorbell cam i would be slightly pissed. The new plans make sense if you have multiple nest cameras.
