Default Packing an LED TV for shipping

Moving soon need to pack up my 55in LED LG. Of course I threw away the old box. Any tips for wrapping or packaging a TV to go on U-Haul type truck?.

Throw it in a envelope and ship it with a banana

Serious answer: This or something similar. Make sure it won't be able to move around at all inside the van. Although all I've done was put a thick blanket around the screen, and put it in my back seat instead of the moving truck.

I'd make a separate trip if you can, you can just gently lay them down on their back on some pillows & blankets in a car with the seats down or an SUV. Anything else expensive & fragile I would just take on the same trip. I wouldn't put it in a Uhaul personally but I'm sure people do it all the time - too risky for me.

If you have to take it on the truck, get a huge roll of large-bubble bubble wrap and wrap the shit out of it. You need to protect it AND you don't want any crap getting on the screen (eg. from a dirty old blanket or people's hands), it's virtually impossible to clean 100% residue-free if you do. Uhaul sells boxes specifically for this as well but they are super expensive.

I packed my big screen Zenith TV with one banana on only the screen side and shipped it across country with no damage.
