The messed up thing is that almost every sect of Islam has a different derivation of what they consider Sharia Law, from the Shias to Sunnis to Maliki, Hanafi etc, just as every hardliner Christian/Protestant group has their own set of rules and beliefs based on whatever the hell they decided was right for them from the Bible.

Furthermore a Muslim sect can believe in implementing Sharia Law but will cut short of promoting Salafism. Those who support Salafism like IS are the extreme be-all-end-all of radical Muslim extremists.

It is pretty sad what happened in Brussels but there was 5 terrorist bomb attacks in Istanbul and Ankara Turkey since October which no one has any clue about. I like how media chooses which lives to support on the news.

WTF? Mostly peaceful and then a couple of retarded thugs. That's sad to see, hopefully the police did something about it.

I think like Maxboost said, immigrants here integrate way better due to our screening process. They also can't just show up here on foot.

Can you remind me what that was again? Serious question. I'm not trying to set you up for anything.

If it's just a burqa at the citizenship oath, I don't see that much of a problem with it. It's just a ceremony, is it not? Nothing administrative really happens, right?

Burqa for a driver's license is a very delicate issue and I can see both sides of it, and I am far too unqualified to weigh in on that issue.

Got a kick out of a truck sporting a "fit in or fuck off" sticker across the back window early today.

Yes it actually is. To the point where challenging laws to the supreme court became NECESSARY for integration.

Go tell a black man that challenging laws about "integration" is a bad thing.

Comparing slavery to ninjas in public, ok.

One case was to abolish oppression, the other is for perpetuating oppresion. See the difference?

No. I honestly don't. If you want to wear something at a citizenship ceremony where you're being granted Canadian citizenship (after YEARS of process to get it) then you should be able to wear your religious garment. What do you care? How does it hurt you?

And I'm not talking about slavery. That one was even worse. It took a war and a constitutional amendment to end that!

I'm talking black people not being allowed to drink out of the same water fountains, for Christ's sake. You shouldn't be persecuted for WHO YOU ARE.

The first line of Wiki disagrees with you.

Without any quantifiable data, I would venture that the majority of these immigrants who don't want to integrate, just want to be left alone to their culture, surrounded by family and those like them. In those cases, they're usually too old to give a shit anyways. They just want a nice, safe place for their family to live.

But imagine what happens when you marginalize and discriminate against them and their family. Now you've marginalized a generally peaceful person by telling them that they don't belong or that they're not real Canadians because they don't believe in what Canadians believe.

That can have a dangerous ripple effect on a family structure, and it's the kind of ripple effect that religious cults, gangs and, in this case, ISIS, looks for when they recruit.
Can I have a nice place for myself and other white people where we can be left alone to our culture, surrounded by our families and people like us?

What does that prove? It'll be changed back, since Wiki is probably one of the most heavily moderated sites on the internet. Don't be an idiot.

If I'm wrong, they will change it back... but then I will support my edit with the video of the Imam I posted above. You should watch it.
