Long story short, we're going to be keeping our overtime, any hours we had banked were paid out today.
Just quit and start racing for money. PS do you regret your username
Yeah, I wish I could have it changed, not particularly sure anymore what I was thinking when I decided on it as every other handle I've used for forums has had my last name in it.Originally posted by riander5

Sanjel, errr, STEP, has staged all local Sanjel equipment just outside of town here. I'll try to get a pic. It's an ocean of Sanjel equipment. Crazy! I wish I had a drone. It would be awesome footage.

I've heard but never seen it myself.
Holy shit, that's a lot of assets. Fire sale.
Heard MEG had quite a few layoffs this week or last. Can anyone confirm? Numbers?
Heard 60 let go. Not sure on ratio but some field staff included.Originally posted by troyl

Here is some Sanjel footage we got from the highway.
Switch to 720p.

STEP already owns all of the Sanjel equipment. It will be stored on lots in Red Deer and another up by GP (from what I'm told) until they bring it back in service.Originally posted by flipstah

We've had 3 rounds of lay-off. I'm on a reduced working hours, 30 hours per week. I'm not sure I will survive the 4th round.
Not necessarily, they are likely just bringing all the equipment together for maintenance and updating (fancy new paintjobs!) then will likely send back out to the field. Al though I'm sure they will put up some equipment for saleOriginally posted by flipstah

Funny you'd mention that Sugarphreak. I just got re-hired, along with a few others
How's it looking? Is there any hope this year or we screwed til next year?
New thread is probably worthwhile. I think any major re-hiring will lag a rise in oil prices for 4-6 months. I also think any company that can handle an increase in activity without rehiring will attempt to scrape by for at least two full quarters in an attempt to "repair the balance sheet" as Peter Tertzikian says.
Myself, I don't consider a recovery underway until we are over 350 rig count at least, no matter what WTI is at.
