Default Podcasting: Recording with 2 Input/Output Sources

    We've looked into several options:

    - Recording from Skype:
Me and another person would be conversing through Skype and record the audio.

    - Recording in person:
Me and another person would be conversing in person with our own headset/mic.

The problem with both of these options is that my computer's sound card does not support dual input/output devices. Is there a way around that without switching out my sound card (software/ external hardware)

With the in-person option, would it work if we were to hook up a signal splitter for on one mic plug and have two mics connected to it? And would it work (or not work) the same with the headphones?

Anything would help. Thanks in advance.

Have one mic going to your sound card and get a USB mic like a snowball for the second audio source. Only problem is your audio quality could vary between the two sources.

Thanks! Looks promising. I'll try this tonight and hopefully it works out

Tried this. Had a USB Webcam/Mic and a Headset/Mic plugged in and you can only choose 1 mic as default. My soundcard doesn't support the 'Stereo Mix' option.
