Not surprising at all! When I took an rs3 out for a test drive a month or so back I was absolutely blown away by how fast and responsive the car is right out of the box. The launch control is absolutely unreal on it.

Strange car. On one hand I feel it's overpriced but on the other hand in a straight line it performs above it's price range. That 5-cylinder is simply one of the best engines in the world.

The RS3/TTRS are hilariously fast as it is, and the Stage 1 is ridiculous. I was however surprised to see the TTRS at $90K in Glenmore Audi's showroom - I didn't know they were quite that expensive. RS3 Wagon is still the car I want the most.

The RS badge and fifth cylinder is a premium. Adds up quick with virtual cockpit and other goodies

Virtual Cockpit isn't a big sell any more. Even $30K Golfs get them now.

The VW one isn't nearly as nice as the Audi virtual cockpit.

The RS3 is a much better deal, they charge a premium for the TT.

Agreed, they are already fast in stock form. I tested 0-100 with my wife's car and it ran 3.9sec. I was surprised with the altitude that we are on and still perform what Audi claims. IMO this car is a bargain for what it can do.

Too bad no hatch. I'd go TT just for the sexiness.

That video is so misleading lol.

    1) They used toyo r888 tires
    2) they completely stripped the car of its seats
    3) they used e85

Unless all of those things are factored in, nobody is going to be touching that time. With all that said, the rs3 is still impressively quick. It ran low 11's with their stage 1 tune. --> http://www.goapr.com/news/2017/10/30...esting-update/

These guys aren't fooling anyone lol.

Not really misleading as they fully mention it on the site. They do that with most of their cars. The rs4 with their supercharger kit they did the same thing, although it was in the video what they did to the car.

Are you sure you read the link you posted? Since when did pulling seats = "completely stripped the car"

And I wouldn't call ethanol “race fuel” since E85 is commonly available at many gas stations throughout the US.

Their video was misleading because none of that information was posted when they uploaded it originally. Go through some of the comments and you'll see that. It wasn't until they started replying to some of the comments with their link for all of the info.

What else would they remove to save lots of weight? The stereo system? I updated my point to be politically correct

You're right, I jumped the gun with that one lol. Regardless, the difference between low 11's and mid 10's is huge.

Just so we're clear, I'm not hating on the car. It's extremely impressive out of the box. The point I was trying to make was that those numbers don't reflect real life performance of their tune alone.
