Default Help me choose my logo (poll inside)!

I've been trying out a Design Crowd sourcing project for a company logo. I don't imagine using it forever, but I'm shit at any sort of artistic endeavor so I figured I'd try it out (nobody would get back to me for a reasonable price in Alberta).

They are pretty uninspired, which is alright for now. I would imagine in a few years that I would change it up. In any case, I've added a poll, pick the number that corresponds to the logo of your choice!

    Logo 1:

Logo 2 (yes, I do realize this could be taken as copying 780tuners logo, I didn't make the suggestion, the designer came up with it and I think it is different enough to stand on its own )

    I voted 3.

It might just be me but I find the company name to be odd and cumbersome.

What does your company do exactly? That can help with choosing the right one.

I voted for #1, but #5 looks good too.

I chose #1 because it makes me feel like I'm going fast

#5 looks like something you'd see on a bottle of protein powder. No thanks.

Getting a professional to design my logo was the biggest investment my company has made so far, and I'm still really happy with it.

I do agree that the name is kind of cumbersome. If you are planning to have a website, it's the ind of name that is easily misspelled. Also, is there a space (as per #1) or not (as per the rest)? Makes a big difference in how it looks. I personally like the space, and for that reason, choose #1. Number 2 is a close second for me, and if it had a space, I'd choose it.

I do not like any of them. Not trying to be a dick, but they all look like Fiverr logos.

I don't know if I will end up with any of these as I have the option to refund if necessary. Additionally, I still have 10 more days for submissions, so there may be a part 2 poll.

The name is ChassisFlex Motorsports, and it isn't changing I appreciate the concerns, they have been duly noted. But it still isn't changing :p

I'd love for some people to hit me up with a PM of individuals they have utilized for such services though.

I voted #1, think it's actually quite well done but maybe that's just me.
Quite like how all the angles come together

Second would be #3. Though the c in the center just reminds me of the Calgary Fire Department logo for some reason.

All are terrible, very generic and all look like a knock-off Indian designer was let loose. You need to Google images to see just how original these and any logo you are considering might be. No point in sugar coating it unless I was your mom.

A logo needs to stand on its own, you should know what the business or name is communicating simply based on the logo. I have no idea what the business is, why the colours and fonts were selected. Logos done correctly look professional in black and white as well as in colour. This is one of the tests.

This is going to be representing your business going forward, you need to rethink and reimagine the end result as you'll be living with it for decades. What is the point of getting into business unless you are in it for the long haul?

I'm booked until late May otherwise, I'd be interested in taking on the project.

Rethink the company name. Short is better. As for the name on a website, you'll be forever spelling out the name and your email address will be a mouthful and again all the spelling it out. I've made this error before, never again.

    EG: jimnorton@chassisflexmotorsports ??

For Google you'll have 23 characters eating up your 50 total characters. It'll look like this and be a failure:

I'm sure there are a lot of talented folks in town. The only one I have ever used is Teak at:
    https://www.behance.net/teaksato
I was 100% satisfied with his work, and I have gotten compliments on his design package from quite a few people. He's a real professional, so this is not a small increase in price from the fiverr-type service, but in my opinion, it's worth it.

If I ever start advertising my business on the illustrious beyond.ca, you may get a taste of what he's done for me.

Of course you would say that to the guy with the most helpful and insightful post in the thread. Dumbass.

I liked 1 right away. 2 for a minute, but then the needle above the I started to bother me.
3 and 4 don't do a thing for me. 5 is pretty good but 1 it is.

Partially agree about the name, hard to spell domain names can be troublesome. For your domain I'd definitely leave off the motorsports as that's way too much to type in for a web or email address, providing your target market can spell chassis.

The fact that you are agreeing with him only drives home the point I shouldn't listen to him. I'm sure you bought your Malibu Maxx so many years ago based on that bitchin' name. MAXX A great marketing success!!!

Yessir, those are exactly the types of things that I have done/considered. I appreciate the well reasoned input, versus the "AHMERGERD YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG"

I guess #1 because that is the only one with a space that doesn't make me wonder whose ass is flex.
