Got to love how Harper responsibly curtailing the deficits slowly to avoid major economic shocks and continuing the promised economic stimulus spending the Liberals forced him into is something that later Liberals will hang over his head
See this is why, imo, the Cons shouldn't be cucks to left wing interests at all when they are in power and just ram the policy their actual voters want down the Liberals throats. Because that's exactly what any left government does immediately after they take over. This was the PC's undoing imho, trying to keep their feet in both ponds.
Personally i think a united conservative party in Alberta who comes with the policy of eliminating all the Prentice-Notley tax increases and a mandate to make radical cuts to public spending ( like AHS waste) to bring us back to the black would win an election in a landslide.
That's what damn near everyone i know wants so I think it could be very successful
