Can you look at ceiling cassette units? Same ductless unit just in a different form factor for the indoor part, here's 2 options.

    18000 BTU Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioner - Heat Pump - SENA/18HF/IC - Senville.ca

    24000 BTU Concealed Duct Air Conditioner - Heat Pump - SENA/24HF/ID - Senville.ca

Tbh I don’t recall the garage in Kelowna ever getting unbearably hot, though we had minimal windows.

Maybe just skip the AC and rough in the in floor and see how it goes?

Nothing stopping you from adding a ductless system later really.

In floor is super nice, except when it’s on and you’re under a car struggling to do something then you’re sweating your sack off haha… but I think you’re more of a car parking kinda guy so you’d love it. When you go out in socks it’s real nice.

In floor, with floor drain (line style), best for a snowy climate.

Adding wall mounted AC later always an option.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Thanks a lot for the quick input gents. Infloor it is.
@JfuckinC haha definitely more of a car parking kind of guy but I will tinker on the older stuff. Maybe I’ll start doing more once I have a good place for it.

    Cheers everyone

Good move - we went with a heat pump in Montana (which I would think is comparable to BC) and wish we went with in-floor.

Yo bro, are you from that goat Calgary car forum that get salty over lawn care, land rovers and circumcisions? That's straight fire.

Worst case you don’t use it, but you can never add it later without great expense.

I’m debating a full tear down of my garage and not having this done is at least a decent chunk of why.

Yeah, that was my worries. I’d have the slab poured and regret it the next day. Needed to make the decision today because they needed to prep the base for whatever I chose to take advantage of the warm weather. Didn’t get the quotes until this morning in true builder fashion so had to make a quick choice. Thanks all
