Personally I sell most of mine. Even if it's something like broken screen there's someone willing to buy it
Have you had much luck with these?Originally posted by jwslam

I go through phones so often, I hoard/throw them out ... should consider this lol.
Some I hoard (thinking I'm going to sell, but they sit forgotten in a drawer)
Some get donated to family members in need.
Apple has a decent trade-in plan I got $200 for my old iPhone 5 recently.
typical scenario: Put it up for something like $100. Get enough offers for $50 that I eventually cave after 2 months or so.Originally posted by swak

Don't really have any hoarded phones on me right now. I'd be happy to take some of yours though =)
I hoard them but am going to try any throw in a new battery into my N5 and give it to my mom.
Hoard.
Apparently I'm like a little kid... "this toy is better" and then forget about the old toy.
1994 Mustang - SBF swap in progress
I hoard/lend them as well.
I let my brother use my Shine flip for a year after i got rid of it, and my mom used my 3GS for a year or 2 after i upgraded that. But i have them all back now. I have a little ziploc bag in my office filled with cell phones and ipods lol.
Thought about getting the power button fixed on my iPhone 4 and JBing it to use a a dedicated Sonos remote with no passcode etc. Once Jbroken i would shut down 90% of the default background tasks so it still runs reasonable. Downgrade to the lowest compatible OS etc.

I sell them because they're rarely more than a year old Then I upgrade for cheap.
Keep them. Having the perfectly functional Nexus 5 as a backup to the 5x is great. I gave my parents my iphone 3gs with a broken screen (so technically still in the family) and my S3 was stolen.
Speaking of which ... anyone have a decent spare phone laying around they'd part with for a reasonable cost? Can't unlock my work phone and looking for something to use for travelling. My old nexus S is too laggy for snapchat and such. Only use it 2-3 times a year so not looking to drop a ton on a new phone.

Or a used Nexus 5 (bargain at $150) are probably going to be the best bang for your buck.
Appreciated, I'll take a look at that!Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Before smartphones, I would sell my old phone when I upgraded.
Now I keep my main use phones because by the time I get them, they're typically at the end of their lifecycle and the next one is about to come out. So add 3 years to that, anyone looking for a phone could buy something more current for the same price I'd be selling it for so I may as well just keep them as spares in case anyone needs them.
However, once in a while I will buy phones just to play around with that I have no intention of keeping so those get sold.
Sell them.
Hahaha, that's hilarious. I was just playing with my old Nexus S this weekend. I reflashed the stock OS on it cause the custom KitKat ROM I put on it was so brutally slow and ate up all the spaceOriginally posted by pheoxs

i have always sold my old phones on kijiji.
Hoard most, but some I donate to friends/family if they need a phone.
How recent did you trade yours in? I checked online and the most they offer seems to be $100 for iPhone 5's lolOriginally posted by The_Penguin
