I remember 86max's S13 being an inspiration to how I wanted to build my pignose Zenki, was such clean example, same with BoostInfested's KA24DET.Originally posted by finboy
86max and alpha (I think this was at a meet up with the silent rage group?)
Google image search finds a few more
I'm pretty sure that maroon Maxima was his winter beater too.
It was, he still misses the maximaOriginally posted by n1zm0

Opened first video. Heard Linkin Park. Closed video.
Gonna need a shower to wash all this cringe off.
I will never become nostalgic for: LP, Papa Roach, Crazy Town, Disturbed. That music needs to stay in 2002 and die.Originally posted by Mibz

I'm going to dig up some of the old raw footages from those video. I think we actually filmed the entirety of Crowchild during construction which would be an interesting thing to see today. Might have to edit out some of the street racing that was going on though...
Crazy to think that 15 years ago Crowchild was littered with lights and no interchanges haha.

Just makes me sad though. Car scene has fallen on some seriously hard times lately. I'd say it is barely even a thing anymore

I used to live out in Bearspaw in the early 90's. Rocky ridge road actually used to continue south of crowchild, before turning west and down into the ravine (where Tuscany is now) and became 80ave. Present day 80ave ends at 12 mile coulee road.Originally posted by rage2

That was such a dangerous corner down in that ravine, my friends mom ended up going off the road and rolling her Ford Aerostar. She died on scene.
...
Calgary was at the forefront of Honda turbocharging during that era. Legendboy was building custom turbokits, Toma and I handled all the tuning. At the peak we were tuning 8 cars every Sunday.Originally posted by b_t

A lot of the Calgary cars set new benchmarks in horsepower, from pump gas power (thanks to Husky 94) to hp on stock internals on honda-tech. A lot of the arbitrary stock block limits that honda-tech users lived by were due to bad tuning, and we were able to really push the limits of stock Honda motors and blow those limits away.
There are still a handful of turbo Hondas that I tuned running around today. Pretty crazy how reliable they ended up being.

Oh and Legendboy will like this one
I had so much fun with this car back in the day. Took it down the strip over a 100 times haha.
Legendboy's Integra will always be legendary. 450whp or something stupid from the stock block, although he figured out that was the actual breaking point. Think he went through a cracked sleeve a year at that power.
He earned that AMG Killer user title. That 2600lb integra absolutely destroyed my poor SLK32 AMG on Deerfoot many a times.
