It's been pretty fun from the amount I've played it so far.

I played it this past weekend. I liked it a lot and will probably buy it. I never really got into TF2, but this being a paid title with lots of free updates is also nice. Gameplay worked well with the different modes and character variety and having set loadouts means you can come back after a while of not playing and still remain competitive.

Isn't there a gear aspect to this game as well? Would you not have to keep up with the gear to keep competitive?

as far as I know, no special gear with more play time. Just skins, and other cosmetic things.

I really do truly wonder though if online exclusive games are starting to become born to fail. Heroes of the storm is probably my favorite moba, but it is nowhere near the same depth or fanbase as LoL or DOTA2.

I just wonder how Overwatch will fare when you have games like Battleborn that only has 6000 players (and it's a new game) , or dirty bomb which struggles to keep 3k players and is only a year old. That said, TF2 still is 45k strong... will overwatch dent this population?

Broke down and pre-ordered the base PC edition. NHL commercials were too strong against my weak will.

This will be the first time I've spent more than $50 on a game since the original Unreal Tournament.

Rumor mill: Looks like Coca Cola might use this game as a potential e-sports title. It does make sense to me, if you are going to sponsor a shooter, you can't really use a hardcore military realism shooter.

Most fun i've had in an arena shooter since Team fortress classic (I never fell in love with TF2 the same way i did TFC)

I had TF2 when it came out and never really got into it, but I am having a great time with overwatch. The variety of heroes and how different they play is probably the best part.

I played it for a coupe of hours last night and had an absolute blast. Very fun gameplay, and the maps are well designed.

I do think it may become tiresome after a while however. Does anybody know if they're planning to add even more game modes? A cooperative mode with raid style objectives would be pretty awesome.

Played it for the past couple of days. Looooooooove the game. Very dynamic, forces you to think tactically while being fast paced and very active. Love to play Widowmaker, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Pharah... Pharah's ultimate is so much fun if done right

I LOVE Mei as a defense player

OMG I feel like such a troll, i made a Mercy/Reinhardt combo RAGE in chat calling her OP and shes bullshit.

I kept cutting off the healing stream/singling out reinholdt with the ice wall feature, then ice blocking as my team just pummeled him into the ground, phara would shoot up into the sky and just murder mercy/their support.

It was like a group of pros going up against a group of randoms - and my team was all randoms, we just clicked PERFECTLY.

I kept locking down their Reaper too with her frost gun and he'd get slaughtered. We held a zone like crazy.
