Of course, one nice thing about the divergence in different forum formats is that it allows VB type forums to function as information repositories (which they are great at), and keeps people who are only interested in jerking themselves off and talking about themselves confined to that space of the interwebs (reddit and bookface).
Really, VB type forums should essentially migrate to being wikis almost. Repositories of knowledge that are easily searchable and hold lots of answers (like NASIOC as an example).
Either way, I dislike Reddit. The search is awful, and I have never found it remotely useful.
