    Default Central Vac Systems

Need to replace my 1995 vintage central vac. There is an overwhelming number of brands/models out there.

Anyone know website that rates them? What criteria is most important?

Should I just get the biggest amps/air watts, with lowest dB and that's all that really matters?

I'm thinking to make stronger suction power, get unit that's oversized for my house, any downsides to this approach?

    Any advice appreciated!

Does your CV dump the exhaust in or out of the house?

Turbotrip is right. I would check with Vacuum specialists, they're pros in this area. Been there a bunch of times too, they answered all my q's and stuff and i got what i was looking for.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

I personally have an Easy-FLo (I think vacuum specialists sells them), and I love it. Well made, has had awesome suction for years now. I figured it was good for the long term seeing how the fire stations I work out of have the same ones, and they're used daily without fail. I have the Eureka "sweep and groom" power head and its been good as well.

How many sq foot is the house? really depends on your preference if you want a bagged or bagless system - i personally went with the bag system. they can show you the demos of both and explain the differences

I got an aluminum Nuera DuoVac from Dynamic Vacuums like 7 years ago, works like new to this day. Love it, lots of suction, no bag, and washable filter. Empty it out only ever 4-5 month with vacuuming twice a month with a cat.

If I remember correctly it's made in Canada and the brushhead has a motor from Germany...that's pretty much all I remember. The guys at Dynamic Vacuums explained to me the difference between this and Home Depot models, was convincing enough to me, no issues at all.

My house is about 2000 sq ft.

Eblend, compared to box store model, how much more for that kind?
