Default E-Cycling: Where to go and what can i recycle?

Where can I bring my old electronics for recycling besides bestbuy? There used to be a place by Quarry Park in the ECCO recycling facility, but I looked at their site and I didn't see anything about e-cycling anymore.

As well, what can i do with the old cables like power cables, monitors cables, usb printer cables? And will they take items like old stand up fans for cooling a room or would that just go somewhere else like the CoC dump?

    Thanks.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

There's a drive-up place near Currie Barracks that takes just about everything.
    Fast and efficient.

Both Staples and Best Buy will take everything.

I just left a giant box box random crap at Best Buy, was going to put all the stuff in sorting bins but employee just came out and said leave the box, they will sort it out.

Yep, that's the place I go. You drive up, pop the trunk, they take shit out, and off you go, don't even need to get out of the car if you don't want to.

In regards to dropping off old laptops at best buy, do you know if they do a full wipe on the lap top or anything prior to recycling? Is it necessary??

They do not do anything to the laptop when you drop it off to be recycled. It goes from their front bin and gets a little label atyached stating its for recycling then to a larger bin in the back that gets picked up and sent off to be recycled.

I typically remove or destroy all hard drives before recycling personally.

I destroy my old HD's before I send them out for recycling.

Take your HD out and make sure it is in many pieces and throw it into trash.

    Recycle the rest.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.
