I totally want one, I drive 10-15 over everywhere...cept play grounds of course, wouldn't want to be deemed a child murderer.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Everybody on beyond should sign up to use up the stickers, and then we can send Nenshi an tweet with them all being destroyed.
Sends a message, and eliminate potential stickers that could fall into slow hands

Too loud for Aspen
Oooh, I live in Royal Oak. I should get some stickers for the M5.
There has been one of those mobile billboard signs on RR Road for the last couple of weeks promoting this. I live in RO and have yet to see any of these Moving road blocks. That said I expect to see them. There are a vocal minority group that like to bitch about anything and everything because it is their fucking right. These are the same people that bitch because of all the street parking near the condos. How dare these poorer people have more than one car when they don;t own a house with a double or triple garage. grr!Originally posted by rage2
This has been around for several years, all over the radio. Royal Oak/Rocky Ridge Community Association started it. I drive through there a lot, and I've seen 0 with these stickers. I've never seen a car with one on Crowchild either.
Here's the original thread: http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?threadid=370820
Nenshi thought it was a great idea and gave them the $5700 to do the stickers haha.

edit - maybe they're making this program city wide in hopes of people using those $5700 worth of 3 year old stickers.
"if you disagree with my views are cannot adequately my criticism then ignore my posts." - Nusc
This is what I was gonna say haha. Put a sticker on and set a realistic pace - over the posted limit almost everywhere.Originally posted by Maxt

I do get great service there, especially when I mention my name, haha.
I emailed my counselor telling them to stop being social engineering nannies and to actually focus on things that matter, like cutting costs.

Sooo.... basically this is a program, where you can sign up and get a sticker, and then drive like you're doing your advanced road test. All the time. Which is how you should be driving, all the time, anyways. Right.
Screw the law, amirite?
I can eat more hot wings than you.
This year on yellow-line residential streets I've had 2 drivers pass me while I was going ~62 in a 50 zone, on both occasions they flew past me in the oncoming lane. Both times were about 7am when all the blue collar people are heading to work, go figure.
The second time it was some shitty dodge dart so at first i didn't let him back in lol, I quickly came to my senses and eased off though and this guy passed me doing 90+ and promptly got stuck at a red light 30 seconds later. He then flipped me off as i passed him in the turning lane
if either of these overtakers ran into a "pace car" I can picture the pace person antagonizing them further, maybe blocking the oncoming lane too, I don't think it will end well
^ one is certainly allowed to pass over a single line in an urban area as per the TSA
(b) in the case of a highway in an urban area where a single
solid line only exists between traffic lanes, a person shall
not drive the vehicle so that the vehicle or any portion of
the vehicle crosses the single solid line from one traffic
lane to another except when overtaking and passing
another vehicle;
