When I worked at the dealership almost every chinese customer requested 8's in the plate. I also made their final price come out with as many 8's as possible as often as I could.... worked every time

Even though I'm pretty white washed, I like my 8's too. My work extension is 168 and I try to get 8's on non personalized plates.
For the new support the troops plates, you can't choose. You have to order it and it just comes in. After I got my first one, I checked with the registry and news articles to estimate how many they were selling to see when I should order the next one to maximize 8's for my second order. I ended up with 8807.

What makes me laugh is the crappy cars with the 8s. Obviously the 8s are coming to fruition for them.
UH that's how you get rich... by not investing money into a depreciating asset.Originally posted by G

always surprised to see an 888 or 8888 being driven by a white person. I think they like trolling their Asian friends.
Friend of mine used to have 403-888-8888 for his cell number. No clue how he got it, ended up selling it to a Chinese guy.

I saw your car on the way out. Impressive spot since it was a zoo there. The line to get in snaked all the way back to the washrooms.Originally posted by rage2

Yea, by the time I got there, the line snaked past my parking spot. As you can see, I'm still super proud of that spot.Originally posted by G

Remember to post up what you see out there!
168 is a good one.
My dad's name is Nghi which sounds like 2. Our old house number was 244 lol That house was good for the family though. It was the days before the casino and stock market.

Couple years ago when I went to renew my plates, I had 4 different plates all random and misc letters and numbers. The girl at the front recommended I get all new plates since the plate is offered as part of the renewal and it would make it easier to keep track of. This is what she gave me:
I'm clearly asian. I didn't ask for it, but she gave me all 4 new plates in sequential numbers starting with an "8" hahaha.
And the plates are on a Lexus, Mini, Toyota, and a Honda.

Thread semi derail: who's the loser in the Touareg with B8888B8 or BBB88BB or B88888B or whatever it was that tried to run me off the road on highway two a month or so ago?
My birthday is 8/8/88
Any Asians want to touch my birth certificate for good luck?
That's awesome! For some reason I just assumed plates were randomized from wherever they're made so the chances of getting them sequentially was very unlikely.Originally posted by BokCh0y

Damnit, I tried to buy a house once that was clearly owned by an Asian family, so I put as many 8s in my offers as possible. I felt super racist and it didn't even work!
