Default Recommend me a Hotel in Calgary

Hi there beyond, I am heading up to Calgary in a couple of weeks for a bachelor party and i am looking for a hotel, preferably in the downtown area.

Ideally we would like to book at least one big room where 10-8 guys can predrink and hang out, the rest of the rooms can be regular no big deal.
We were looking at the Clarion but thats not really close, so id rather pay more and be close to downtown.

    Any ideas? thanks in advance

Hyatt. You are in the middle of downtown.

Rent a few nice condos through Airbnb? Will cost you the same or less anyways.

That was the initial plan and we almost booked something, but the houses were far from downtown and we would have to be extra careful, Im not sure owners would be ok with a bunch of dudes partying at their place.

Also check out the Sheraton Eau Claire and the International. Both of them are downtown and offer suites.

St.Germain has a few good suites for that purpose.

The Germain has amazing rooms for meetings/predrinking/lounging, etc. but when we booked it I think it was $750 or so for the night which is fine if you are splitting it among several people. If there's 8-10 of you that's nothing.

I've also stayed at the DT Marriott across from the Germain and got a similar single, large, room and it was cheaper but not nearly as nice.

For a bachelor party, treat your buddy to the nice room

+1 for Germain. Didn't get a 10 person room, but got a nice other option for my wedding night. Decent location, nice hotel, decent price. Plus they gave us a bottle of Moet

International was great but man do people bitch about noise of a poker game with topless dealers. All fun and games until CPS Tactical came to kick us out. Apparently Asian bachelor party == Asian gang party. Bunch of IT and engineering nerds with a bunch of strippers getting taken out of the hotel by the SWAT team.

Come on Rage2, we all know you do well in IT, but you have to help pay for those watches and cars with somehow

Also add another +1 for Germain. We used a few summers ago with nothing but a good experience.

Hyatt, germain and marriott have best location. I've always been treated great at the hyatt for Christmas parties. I think the Mariott has renovated, because I was there for a meeting today, and it looks nicer than I remember. Maybe just that meeting room floor though?

    Germain

Rented a suite during my wedding and it was a great layout...also had two washrooms in the suite so if there's a bunch of dudes pre-drinking that can be useful hahah

Thanks guys, we ended up booking at the international those suites look pretty good and for 120 a night you cant really go wrong. Germain looked great but it would have been more expensive.
