Plz no. It wasn't even in the forecast when I checked lol I drove the wrong car and don't want it to get wrecked.

Left the car at home today. I didn't want to chance it. These high surface temps along with still very frigid upper air temps just scream hail. Humidity isn't too bad right now, so that's keeping the cumulus at bay for the time being.
In a parkade this year
As long as it doesn't hail between 4 and 5 pm, bring it on. My car is in covered parking at work and at home
Wonder what the write-off value for my beater truck is? I think I'd make money on that. Did really well last time I wrote a vehicle off to hail.
Too bad the fit has declared hail damage already. No payout for that one

But everything this season has come early....
...@therealarifjina...
The insurance brokerage I work at has received a bulletin from Wawanesa advising as follows:
Bulletin - Severe Hail Forecast for today Calgary to Red Deer area
Importance: High
Attention: The weather forecast for today calls for possible severe
thunderstorms with walnut size hail. The detailed hail model is
predicting 2.2 cm size hail for the Calgary area and 2.7 cm size hail
for the Red Deer area this afternoon and early evening.
See link below for radar image of storm.

So, I have lots of scratches in my car. (Thanks Infiniti for the weakest paint known to man, next to Subaru).
Good idea to leave the car out? Who's been through that process.... is it pretty simple or a real pain? How long would I be driving around a golf ball for before it gets fixed?

Damn don't want my already hail damaged Miata to end up worse. 4Runner I'll just take a payout.
Well you see, my car worth say $20k at the time had $15k of hail repairs completed and I did have to wait months to get into maranellos. This was from the storm last summer.Originally posted by Kloubek

Wow. Surprised they didn't just write it off with only a few k difference.
Sitting at the airport in Calgary now. N, S, E, W all look clear.

See nothing coming in from the west, south of Didsbury.
Environment Canada panicking again and jumping the gun as they like to do early in the season.
There are no major clouds of vertical development anywhere within sight of Calgary. They should have at least waited until actual buildup happens before getting scared like this.
We might see something towards the evening perhaps around Airdrie/Olds as usual, but I doubt that Calgary will see precip today.
And BTW since when do we get HEAT warnings? Its hot, you drink more liquids and adjust your activity
