No hail where I am in New Brighton. One crack of thunder hit so hard it knocked a glass off my desk (to be fair, I had it placed precariously). Another crack of thunder knocked a picture off the wall. Damn!

I saw the sound wave go through the curtains, that was pretty cool to see

With Calgary being so big the replies with no reference to any location are extremely useful

That was fucking crazy. I'm also in the dirty SE and my street got flooded out. Those hose on the overflow part of my rain barrel popped off and was shooting water about 5 feet away. No hail where I live but my buddy in Okotoks was sending me snaps of pea sized hail at his shop.
Its sunny and drying up here now.

Very warm, no wind, moderate rain at MRU. That last thunder crack almost made me ship my pants, holy sweet fawk, ears are still ringing One chunk of clouds is slowly swirling around...
I like neat cars.

Seeing some craaaaazy pictures from south of town circulating on Facebook
^^
Probably more white stuff on the ground there than at any point during this past winter.
Will fuck off, again.
Had a fun time getting home yesterday afternoon. One of the very few times the truck comes in handy haha.
Woodbine
Street flooded here in the SW. Car got hit pretty bad.
This was the worst of it.
Water that got inside.
Luckily it was only on the passenger side. I scooped + shop-vac'ed all the water out, but when I peeled back the carpet, the insulation was completely soaked. Couldn't dry it, ended up ripping the insulation right out.
Any recommendations on what I should do? I think the interior will be alright? Everything seems to work, I'll just have to buy some new insulation to re-install. Thinking maybe take it in to a shop for a quick mechanical inspection.... Although I don't think anything mechanical would have gotten damaged?
Thoughts?
Don't insurance companies write cars off for water that gets in the passenger cabin due to never really being able to dry out properly and causing rust, mold, etc?

Sunshine and rainbows in the north, apocalypse in the south.
North > South.
