Review: Gyu Kaku

Hardly venture to the core, but ended up at Gyu Kaku for lunch.

Location: 638-6 Ave SW

Been told they've only opened a month or two ago. Japanese stuff, kinda fusion with Korean grille.

Décor of the restaurant was clean, simple, nothing high end. Could care less about their lunch clients, (the time I was there), expect the snobby office crowd.

Staff was really friendly and pleasant, seems like real authentic Japanese college servers.

Had their lunch combo. Really fresh and inviting meats.

A little pricey, no alcohol. For two, expect $70-90.

Not AYCE. Had it here in Vancouver last night and 5 of us crushed a platter for 6.

$120 for all excluding drinks and taxes.

I have been I think 4-5 times for lunch now. I like it alot because it is fun
I just do the $16 three meat lunch and it is quite filling.
