Hartleys passive, possession focused system was shit as well. He wasn't going to take us anywhere, I'm fine with moving on. Not sure if this is just heavy growing pains or if GG just sucks and isn't nhl calibre.

I have no idea how this team made the playoffs and got to round 2 two years ago.

But

I told everyone to chill with BE coming over from SL. That Blues team was/is stacked. Maybe Calgary is the new goalie graveyard lol

GG was pretty much the only coach left...management definitely dropped the ball to have to resort to hiring him.

A deal was done but Bishop wouldnt waive to come here so it's irrelevant.

Elliott has been bad but he's not the only issue. Gaudreau and Monahan were -4 each last night. That definitely isnt just a player problem.....

I dunno if they did, not sure if BB wanted to even coach here. It felt like they fired Hartley before lining up a replacement coach, hoped for BB, ran out of options and was left with GG.

See that's strange as the last I heard on the topic was they bishop was wanting to come here,but we wouldn't be able to afford him without losing some other contract

I think Hartley was not the right coach - rode the coattails of several players having career years/career high shooting percentages straight to the Jack Adams trophy.

Feels like the Flames are a bit stingy when paying or at least take their sweet time. A coach like BB would have demanded quite a bit of money and term (which he got in Minny) as he said its likely his last coaching gig.

I think the person who should get the heat is Cameron, or whoever is responsible for the powerplay. If we scored even a couple more than we have on the PP, the games would be different. They just need to get that sorted out ASAP - not sure Cameron is the guy to do it.

I'm willing to give GG a bunch more slack here (new young coach - Mony and Gaudreau late to training camp, horrible play by Elliott) - only real beef with him so far is signing Grossmann - he clearly had influence there.

I also think Dougie played horrible last game.
