I think I said this before, but a no-deal brexit appeals to me as a father who firmly believes in natural consequences. Let Britain burn.

And to hold a whole country hostage over it is ridiculous anyways. Of course, Brexit is the same as Ireland, the British wanting their porridge just right, and therefore cocking everything they possibly can up to get exactly what they don't want.

I really like how everyone portrays the current votes in parliament for "no brexit not allowed" as somehow:
1) Brexit isn't allowed. I assure you, it still is
2) That people, including Brexit supporters, don't understand the game. The only good solution versus "full no deal brexit" is to stay in the EU. Any half measure is worse, period, because the EU is in the driver's seat and has dictated the agreement.
Will be interesting to see what happens. Britain should absolutely just stay in the EU (trading sovereignty and freedom for some economic stability) if they do not go full stop Brexit.

However, it will need to be approved by the Lords before it becomes law. It would also still be for the EU to decide whether to grant any extension.
If the EU doesn't allow an extension, and nothing Britain has done warrants such based on previous discussion, its either no-deal Brexit or Brexit is called off.
People will riot in the streets if it is called off, it was voted for.
It's a riot either way. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Well... extension granted. Time for a new deal... or vote
What the literal fuck does anyone think more time will accomplish? Is the EU going to give a better deal? I doubt it.

EU should tell Britain to get on board or fuck off. And Britain, well they seem to have made their bed.
And I'm relatively Pro Brexit, but this lack of follow-through from both sides is exhausting.

There won't be a better deal, but more time with a no-deal Brexit gives EU firms more time to deal with getting stuff out of the UK (6 months of economic uncertainty to try and mitigate the problems of a no-deal Brexit is still better than 6 months of aftershock of a no-deal Brexit). It also gives a realistic amount of time to have a second referendum if parliament does decide to go that route. They could also just enter a world of Brexit limbo: constantly in a state of preparing to leave without actually leaving as extensions are continuously granted. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Surprised that EU keep granting extensions and agree with this assessment. They should not keep this open ended and said it's final. Now they have to accommodate brexit politician in EU government. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
And kicking UK out tends to keep others EU members in line at least last year or so, win/win for EU.
I don't even understand this anymore. A majority voted to leave. So leave. If they don't, what does this say about democracy? It's insane. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
What possible negotiating can there be? The EU has said "this is final". There is no negotiating.
I believe it's a fight among the brexiters. 1/2 want to exit with deal and 1/2 want hard brexit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's 25% a piece, 50% still want to remain, especially after the last year.
The only reason EU is granting extension is for hope out of all these mess is another referendum to stay as people are now more informed on the impact. They can definite set for a fall vote before Oct deadline, although it's very unlikely.
