So have the isles sunk into the sea yet?

I heard the last country that tried to leave Europe was Atlantis.

Thats where the confusion is. Europe has never been unified. Most of the last 800 years has mostly been quiet tolerance of seething distrust of neighbors interspered with the occasional castle sacking and straight up bombing from 20,000 feet.

It does appear whatever issues I was imagining were unresolved are either minor, nonexistent, or have not yet become apparent. In short, I was quite wrong.

So if I am reading it right, UK basically have to play by EU's rule or taxes/tariff starts. I wonder if this is why some briexitors are screaming Boris is a traitor on TV.

Probably a good mix of those complaining about having to follow EU's rules, and those still complaining that Brexit happened to begin with.

McLarens get a few points more affordable under free trade. That’s a win to me.

I would like to see closer integration between Canada and the UK in general. It seems like it would give both countries a lot of extra financial firepower, and reduce their dependence on the USA.

I agree. Better trade between CANZUK, some commonwealth nations. I think sharing of civic, financial regulatory, security and education standards would be a great start. That gives a good foundation to build on. Then moving into movement of capital, people, trade, energy, and resources.

Britain has a shortage of truckers and poultry workers. Issuing thousands of temporary visas for cheap labor from EU.

UK has obviously had a hard time re-negotiating deals as not a part of the EU. Putin got the natural gas, and he only made a deal with EU member states.

UK citizens are in for a rough and lean energy winter. Better hope for no cold snaps.

Before brexit, they already sorta participate in free trade with Canada via CETA.
