Default Galen Weston passes down empire.

$9 Billion selling food... Im pressive or nOt ?

I'd assume they would try to triple that when they push into the marijuana market next year.

I always tend to look at things as if it were a black guy to see if it maintains the moral high ground test. If a black man made $9 billion selling food to his own people, who then intended to sell drugs to people - what does that make him?

If a white guy made $9 billion selling food to black people, that's *pretty much* most of recorded history.

If it were an Asian who made Billions selling food to people, they would call him Kim Jong (no sarc)

Trump has higher business morals than Weston?

No one dares question the guy who delivers the food no matter what the price?

A (currently $8.9) Billion dollar empire based on food distribution can be seen as a triumph or a failure. Trump is seen as a real estate triumph even though he was mostly around $0.0000 Billion or less for most of his life.

All I know, is that in Canyon Meadows Calgary for a couple years now, its become increasingly difficult to get fresh milk and eggs without having to commute at least a kilometer, or be like a hawk and snipe the first batch when the deliveries are made.

It never used to be this way. Milk was in bags, was superplentiful and delivered to your door every day if you wished.

Is the food distribution system in Canada a failure? Did the Weston family contribute to that failure? In the US, they are increasingly becoming morbidy obese by comparison.

OMG you have to travel at least a km for food. The struggle is real.

For a major city, that is quite a distance only to find out they have sold out and must wait a couple days for another shipment. Assume also: That at any given time, 15% of the population is using the pay $20 for $300 payday loan and does not have easy access to a vehicle.

Milk bread and eggs usually considered to be the absolute minimum basic staples. I'd be willing to bet that your local grocer might be completely out of milk or eggs for at least one or two days of the week.

Its happened to me more than a few times now. The meat department, as high priced as is - sometimes is completely out as well.

For northern townships: Spending more than half income on food as verified by statscan should be alarming to at least *someone*. Obama was probably correct in that native people in Canada are being treated worse than black people in the US.

If the entire goal of "making money" is to enrich and nourish the mind, soul and body - then there is something drastically wrong when people are literally on the verge of not being able to afford proper physical nourishment. Galen Weston worse than Kim Jong? I could see one making the argument.

If I were to rank Canada on nutritious food availability at reasonable cost to wage? Probably a C, maybe a C- and I would put at least half blame solely on Weston.

“I just threw everything out in my house. And I said, every time I want to eat, I’ll walk to the store and get each and every meal,” Brocco told FOX 10. “I used to walk a mile to Walmart and a mile home, cook my food, and when my next meal came, I would do it again. I would do it three to four times a day.” He lost over 300 pounds on his own without ever having surgery. However, he was upset with the way his body looked because of nearly 30 pounds of excess skin. He created a GoFundMe page to raise money for skin removal surgery, and an Arizona surgeon even offered to cover the costs.

Where the hell are you shopping in Canyon Meadows that is so clinically out of shit? I'd also suggest that if they're out, it's time to go to somewhere that doesnt suck at managing supplies.

I'm also concerned that the Canadian government is considering giving one of the first commercial marijuana licenses to a family brand that has really only proven that they can capitalize off others by impoverishment.

I mean really, mostly its been by impoverishing other white people (you could argue that the native lands were always unrealistic to feed due to geography) and usually I let that slide, but still... Seems wrong.

I always thought glasses Galen Weston from the commercials was the only Galen Weston. Apparently he's Galen Weston Jr.

Well the lady who founded the biggest Asian grocery store chain in Canada (T&T) is Asian, primarily sells to Asians, so what is she then? Imelda Marcos?

I find superstore food prices are cheaper overall even vs Walmart now

You know she doesn't own T&T any more as Galen bought it.

So in ZenOps' world, a white dude is selling you BBQ pork.

I know, its a travesty when a white guy is allowed to sell Peking Duck.

Still... Prices are high. Corn is at an all time low and technically should be around 10 cents per cob. Wheat is also at an all time low, should be 80 cents per loaf (assuming machine produced bread)

If the US can put a man on the moon, why does it cost a native in a northern township of 10,000 people $20 for four litres of milk, or $25 for three litres of orange juice? One can only point to a failed food distribution system, of which in Canada you can only point a single finger in one direction - Weston.

Given the Order of Canada for starving natives off their land?

Ouchies, truth hurts man, it hurts.

The $25 for 3L of orange juice in the north is a bargain compared to what a cup of orange juice on the moon would cost, I'd imagine.

We need a government managed supply of moon-juice!
