There was a Dragonite in Cranston just now... and I missed it
At least I caught the one in DT yesterday!
Meh, I guess I kind of have to agree with you guys. The whole experience with pokemon go starts to become a real grind once you get past level 20... either you are spending money on lots of lucky eggs / incubators or you just spend all your time catching useless pokemon in order to level up and maximize XP, all of which could be (and definitely are) more effectively done with some simple if/then statements.
Ie) to get to level 25 you need 150k experience points, 350k to get to level 30, 1.25 million to get to level 35, and 5 million to get to level 40.
Anyways I did find the whole development scene pretty interesting. You get a pretty good sense of how all the elements of the game work, IV calculations, spawning mechanics, how Niantec handles their servers / player bans, workarounds, and etc.
Go Flames!
Really hoping you get banned for gps spoofing. Ridiculous that you cant play a game without cheating just to say "hey i got all the pokemon availabe"

Just hit level 23, I'm at 91 pokemon
Did a lucky egg evolve mash tonight, from 17 to 20. Found a 564 eevee right after. Tried the name trick which first time it backfired. Turned into a 1392 flareon which I really wanted a vaporeon. But oh well.. hopefully I see more grass pokemon in gyms cause it is always psychic and water it seems.
I think after you do each name trick once it goes random after that. Tried sparky twice and I got two vaporeons in a rowOriginally posted by colinxx235

It has worked for me 3 times - people say to rename it after and restart the game if you want to try it again.

Ah damn... well maybe I should name the next one Sparky and hope I get Vaporeons
But holy shit is the lucky egg thing a tedious waste of 30 minutes. Weedle/Caterpie/Pidgey out the assssss. Found a 998 electrabuzz yesterday which was sweet, couple evolutions netting me some new 900ish guys. Still would be nice to find a dragonite/snorlax as they seem great in the gym.
Got two 10km eggs this weekend and with the two free incubators for hitting level 20 finally have them going too, hopefully get some good hatches.
I got a 106cp wartortle from one of my 10km eggs, what a waste
For the guy looking for the onyx a few pages back, we found 2 at eau claire last week.
South Glenmore park is a good spot to hit too.
I caught an Abra and a Mankey
At level23 and it sure is a grind..
GO FLAMES GO!

They all seem to be much harder to catch this week. Even >CP100 are taking a few balls. I wasted 15 balls/ razz berries trying to catch a CP243 Growlithe, it just kept busting out.
I had a Dragonite show on the radar yesterday, but no way could I find that thing, and it wouldn't show on Pokevision (seems to be terribly inaccurate in my area)
Abra seem to spawn at the chicken on University campus.
Cocoa $8,000 per tonne.
Just saw that Pokevision is offline - does this make the game more difficult? Will the loss of Pokevision turn players off to the game?
Will fuck off, again.

I also noticed last night that pokemon were busting out super fast and also running away quick. It was really weird. Sucked because quite a few of them were eevees and I really want the candy for them.
But funny enough I threw a raspberry and 1 pokeball at the electrabuzz who was "???" and turned to be 998. Where as I've had a cp 20 pidgey/weedle/caterpies all busting out 1-3 pokeballs last night at times... so weird
this just means more people at PIP like the first week of pogo.Originally posted by speedog

Hopefully they find a way to bring them back, but time will tell.
Yes...at a high level this game sucks without pokevision. It was fun getting to catch rare ones as the fun of walking around catching zubats and weedles has wore off completely. I probably will stop playing if a site like it doesn't come back up.Originally posted by speedog
