Weather boosted HitMonLee : Sucessful with 5 seconds left.
Regular HitMonLee: Failed after three different attempts.
Ok, I'm pretty sure its an actual thing that the non-boosted level 3 raids are tougher than the boosted ones if you are a high level player. The boosted ones do extra damage, which charges up your charge move faster - which lets you take down the raid boss quicker.

I've done a boosted HitMonLee too, successful with about 20 left. Have not tried Regular one yet though or HitMonChan.
Just fought a regular HitMonChan, not sure if he's supposed to be harder than Lee or not but I see what you mean about the regular being tougher than a boosted version. Much slower to build charge meters against. Confetti with about 18 seconds left. This was against Chan with Close Combat

Ebay going absolutely nuts over Pokémon go fest 2018 tickets. Crazy, especially considering last year was a flop.
People literally have too much money.

Breloom solo, two lugias used: 60 seconds left. More importantly, it dropped 7 rare candy
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
Regular HitMonLee yet again: Failed a few times, then finally caved in and leveled a MewTwo to 30.
MewTwo 30, Lugia 40, Alakazam 40 - Completed with 3 seconds left.
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
What was keeping you from levelling a mewtwo? You originaly wanted to power one up to 40 right away. Now were you just waiting for the right one?
I caught a couple of decent wild Abra>Alakazam, for the first solid year they were pretty rare. I still would prefer a better Mewtwo.
The way I see it, there are a rare few instances where you actually need DPS (speed) A Lugia with Extrasensory/Sky Attack on attack is much more potion and revive friendly and literally only adds a few seconds. More time is spent waiting to cycle through the mon than actually attacking, and I kind up end up hanging around for five minutes anyhow (one spin before gym takedown, and one afterward)
https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/compr...ps-tdo-ranking
All of my mon are always fully healed, and I always have a good buffer of max potions and revives, if they start getting low - I switch over to Lugia as the main attacker, if its windy - Lugia period. Even if I decide to take down six or eight gyms or so (normally would destroy potion reserves) and put in pidgeys as defenders. If you are short on potions/revives, you start to cycle into that "poor mans, conservation" mindset and skip easy fights.
3 gold gyms, 53 silver gyms, 42 bronze gyms. Maximum 59 items on one spin just recently (seventh day gold gym with this current "double item" gym boost)
But I can see DPS being more important if soloing Tier 3 is your main objective. Rayquaza is pretty strong too if you prefer speed, but slightly less potion efficient.

BTW: I'm pretty sure at least half of the Youtubers are playing the "gym game". But its really really boring to watch, as more often than not its just tapping over and over with a Rayquaza, MewTwo, or Lugia (maybe even a hyper beam Blissey) Attacking with a Pound/Hyper Beam Blissey - eeeewwww! But I know what they are doing at least.
One day I might just go around the city and get all the gym badges. Nearly everyone in Calgary is playing the DPS game, I'm contrarian and playing the TDO gym game (currently as dull as it is, its at least "easy")

What's the best bang for buck to use these on...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I only use rares on 20K walking mons. Using them on anything else is a waste.
Mewtwo was great for Gen 1, but if you have a good Rayquaza - that should be a high consideration. I'm a breath away from going level 40 on Ray. Since this event, Machamps should be like dandelions out there, so you really don't need to raid for them - you should already have a gigantic fighting army as of 2pm today (I've got 12 level 32 to 40 Machamp now, several wild ones)
If Niantic had actually released Mewtwo before gen 2 and some of gen 3 - Mewtwo would have been king for much longer.

Finally got enough feebas candies from a hatch this morning. =)
Soooooo Lugia is back again for some reason?

Do raids at gyms that are eligible to get EX raid passes. What area of the city do you normally raid in?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Use this site to see which gyms around you are EX eligible gyms http://pogoyyc.com/gymmap.html
Speak of the devil... Chicken Tank is back.
I will take Lugia over Latias every single time.

https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/gamep...-candy-blissey
It might be tempting to use rare on a Blissey but I would say no to that as well. All they have to do is change the gym meta, change it so that HP is not the main defending statistic (say, change it so that Defense stat actually is more important) and all of a sudden Cloyster *could* be a substitute for Blissey.
And on a side note: I get the oddest feeling that the next Special Research will not be Celebi (like everyone else is expecting) I'm actually thinking it will be MewTwo - as there are tons of Rural players who only have access to a gym and a stop, not even an EX gym. Everyone gets one level 15 Mewtwo - to finish up gen 1 two years later.
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
I wouldn't mind Mewtwo being special research, then change the EX pass to Celebi or something else.
Gengar soloed 12 seconds left. Embarrasing to say that it chewed up an entire team of six and halfway through a seventh mon.
That is the first and last Gengar I'm doing - It eats far too many potions/revives as a boss and as an attacker.
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
Rock types to become OP very soon:
https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/histo...pes-pokemon-go
Golem became useful when the bird legendaries showed up. I've found Rhydon to be semi-useful if you use a fighting type fast attack. But in general, for the last two years since the game started - Rock has been underpowered.
Hope you saved up some Rhyhorn candies.

Weather Boosted Solrock soloed:
Groudon 40, Gyrados 40, Gyrados 40 with 28 seconds left.
Rewarded with: Perfect weather boosted Solrock.
