this is so complicated for a lot of people.Originally posted by codetrap
Lesson of the Day: Don't be a douchebag, don't get lippy with the cops, and don't challenge their authority in the moment. Or you may end up on the ground under 3 cops taking a few shots to the back of the head.
Seems pretty simple.

Where is phils mighty wisdom when it comes to punching someone that's already restrained in the back of the head?
I'm so proud of Canada sometimes. Other countries' cops beat up on gays and minorities.
In Canada, we are all equal, and our cops beat up on old white men.

He wasn't restrained at that point, and was trying to grab for the cop with his left arm. Unless I missed a few punches here...Originally posted by gwill

I love the people that'll come on here and defend cops that punch handcuffed suspects in the back of the head and claim that nobody should say otherwise because they don't know the "full story." Once the suspect is restrained, the "full story" becomes that he says or does something that makes a cop angry, and the cop punches him because he can (or wants to). I mean seriously, give me another reason... And that, no matter how you wanna phrase it, is assault. I get the emotions and adrenaline run high, but if you can't restrain yourself from assaulting someone, you shouldn't be a cop.
And yet you come in here and make assumptions of your own. But since those assumptions are in line with your conclusions, they are fine?Originally posted by Feruk

What? At no point in the video is the guy restrained, and certainly not in handcuffs.Originally posted by Feruk

If this was a cop punching someone already handcuffed do you think people here would be defending it? Even if you're just using the handcuffed thing just as an example, it still doesn't make sense. There's a huge difference between physical force trying to get someone under control, and using physical force on someone that's already under control

It's weird how people can't consider the possibility that BOTH old white man and the cop behaved improperly.
We've had threads with exactly that.Originally posted by btimbit

Interesting how the beyond cops have managed to avoid this thread.
