I once got out of a speeding ticket (in a construction zone, no less) by showing the officer my ample cleavage.

Sure. His actions may not lead to charges, because there's no point in charging him with assault PO because he didn't really, but he put up enough of a threat to be taken to the ground, where he needed to be handcuffed, and he resisted this.

This kind of shit happens every single day. Everywhere. Police fight with people every day, and it never makes the papers.

You'd never lose your job, and almost everything is arrestable under the TSA if you're not complying with providing ID or something like that. Anyways, he wasn't arrested, as far as I'm aware. Handcuffed does not equal arrested. He was brought under control, they probably had a little chat, and ticketed and kicked loose.

    Does that make it right?

    From the CPS statement
"This man was given a ticket for stunting after driving in an unsafe manner along the roadway and was released following his arrest."
And both times you left out " and punched in the head multiple times".

Be interesting to see if he sues the CPS..
"Why did you punch him in the head?
"He was agressive, resisted arrest and obstructed a peace officer."
" Why didn't you charge him?"
    "uuuuuuhhh"....

When by brother got rolled by some cops in Lethbridge it pretty much ended up being you don't complain about us jumping on your head an we won't charge you with resisting arrest. The same thing likely stands in this case as well.

These last few comments are funny.... Interesting that they mess the guy up and don't bother charging him with anything. Sort of surprising as obstruction of a peace officer gets handed out like candy..

He was charged, just not criminally...but under the TSA.

I remember way back when I was in my teens, this was something I always saw people trying to talk the drunkest guy into doing. There would be pools of money on the table, free drinks offered, ect. Back then I always imagined if it happened the cop would go "Ahhhhhhh, you got me!" and they would have a laugh, now that I am older I realize it would have been an absolute freaking beat down.

It always seemed like a bad idea to throw a bunch of armed cops in the middle of a pack of drunk people who probably don't have the best judgement. I am not entirely sure why they don't let establishments handle their own security instead of using tax payer money to do it.
The on site security tried to handle it, but wasn't able to. The police have broader powers of arrest and more enforcement options as well.

And this goes to show why the police sometimes need to be so aggressive/forceful. That was ONE MAN staying up with 3+ cops on top of him

At that point, you basically need to do anything you can to get the person under control.
