Hah, so that was you cruising around downtown today. Sounds good!
If you are getting cabin steam from the heater core, then it's got a hole in it, not a clog. Should smell a lot different from electrical smoke, though.

It didn't smell like any thing? Then again, I was worried I was going to die being roasted in a tin can.
It didn't smoke on idle.
With a lot of pain and suffering. Even removing the radiator is a huge chore.Originally posted by flipstah
Drove the Mini today after months of hibernation and its an exciting start.
White smoke entered the cabin while driving, and I thought there was an electrical fire.
No relay or fuse box damage so second guess is heater core. Anyone know how to unclog or clean it?

My brothers bastard child is finally coming out this spring, although it won't be as nice as the two of yours, we definitely need to get them all together for a shoot.

^ Cool build, he get some inspiration from MCM?
Mini meet when the car isn't trying to suffocate me.
Negative, he bought this car in 2013 with intentions of doing a Honda B Series motor. Decided to do something different instead, and a whole front subframe with a K20 Type R motor from SuperfastMinis showed up at my parents garage in 2015. My brother, father and I cut the front off the Mini and installed the subframe/motor, shifter assembly, and brake lines, then got brought to Balance Auto Garage to get the rest done in October 2015. Ended up moving the car a couple months ago to Blackbird Technical/Alpine Autowerks as Balance was just too busy to complete it, and now its about 2 weeks from being back on the road.Originally posted by beyond_ban

It doesn't smoke if the heater is on! Open the window to balance and we're good.

Yeah, I remember when he first picked it up, with the cam'd 998 motor.
I'd say his is the coolest. Seeing how my attempts to sell mine are failing, if I ever get the motor, I'll be doing a B-swap. I hate the A+ 1275. So much. So very much.

I hate you because you don't invite me to things, but you don't see me talking about it on a forum.Originally posted by LilDrunkenSmurf

Oh. Wait.
Did the annual maintenance yesterday and running great at 87k kms!
Had to drive around the city for 20W50 but we coo.
Rotated the tyres and checked the brakes, because there's a loud squeak on the front right.
Pads are still okay for one season, so could be the hub? It's effing loud metal on metal squeak.
Flipstah made it to Jalopnik?

Well, there was some regret on the JB weld not working on the radiator, forcing a CSF radiator to be bought. However, we found the low side of the A/C because of that and now it works! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
So it's Even Stevens so far lol. The immobilizer is annoying though.

Had a rare opportunity to ride in a Rolls Royce Ghost Series 2 today! It was heavenly and the carpet was softer than my shirt.
While riding around, I also saw a rare 911 Turbo and Kulu as well.
Happy Father's Day to everyone!
LilDrunkenSmurf and I got some fenders and other bits and doodads from MiniSpares UK. Should be here by Thursday.
Side note: Found this on the interwebz. This is why you don't go exploring in Facebook groups.
Eventful two days.
First, steering failed on me yesterday with the hub becoming loose. I hear steering is a thing.
Now, brakes this morning.
From bite to no bite. I'm pretty sure the master cylinder failed on me this morning FML.
Gate or wall? Gate. Mini is fine though!
