Then you don't know how Nintendo really got started in America. You might not associate those with NES specifically, but Nintendo was all about arcades before the NES was even a thing in America.
Really, Galaga and Pac-Man were there probably included because they were the first golden-era arcade games to get ported into a home console, with the exception of Donkey Kong which was a launch title for the Famicom. Both those games sold well on NES/Famicom.
